bears in cartoon form

This is a first time….The Nunavut News North newspaper featured our song Water Truck off our new EP Ovayok Road in their cartoon section! How cool is that?

Canadian indie music blog Silent Shout did a sweet review of our new album Ovayok Road. Check it out here! Silent Shout also included our song Victoria Island in their Best of September mix, which is pretty cool.

Jeff Appleton showed our new album some love a few weeks back, and the love continued! Huge thanks to Jeff for featuring our Ovayok Road album on his RASP radio show again all the way in England.  Stream the show here if you missed it.

I’ve created a new separate website for my solo experimental music. Give it it spin!

Finally, we’re so excited to show you our music video for Fault Lines, which we’ll be releasing on October 10 at the Daily Grind, with Mailyne and Clio Em! Make sure you come out to the music video release party!

Canadian summers

We’re taking some time to relax and enjoy our summer after releasing our new EP Ovayok Road. Speaking of summer, we all know summertime is a great time for road trips: CBC Music included us in their cross-Canada road-trip playlist!

Recently I was featured on the fashion site YOW City Style, posing in my ajumma visor and fanny pack from Christine. Thanks for the photoshoot, Katie!

Ovayok Road continues to get radio play on the other side of the pond as well. Thanks, Jeff Appleton, for playing our new album’s single Fault Lines on his Rasp radio show on Radio-Aktiv in England. You can stream the album here.

We also got a really nice review of Ovayok Road in the Nunavut News North newspaper. Thanks Dana!

What an amazing ride it’s been. We couldn’t have asked for our EP album release to go any better. Thanks everyone so much for your support! We have so many thanks to give out….

But most of all, we thank our fans for coming to our shows, buying our album, and giving us your encouraging words! We’re resting right now to recover from our album release excitement, but can’t wait to get back into it.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to or buy the album yet, check it out here!

Finally, here are some photos from our release shows!

NWT Pride this weekend!

Hey Yellowknife! This weekend we’ll be rocking out at NWT Pride – will we see you there in the Pride Garden on Sunday at 9PM? We’ll have copies of our brand new EP Ovayok Road, and you will be the first ones to have a chance to get it, before the rest of Canada. Northern pride!

If you’re not in Yellowknife, you can catch us at our show in Ottawa or in Waterloo.

This album release wouldn’t have been possible, of course, without the support of our fans, especially those of you who supported us through Indiegogo! We not only met our goal, but sailed right passed it! If you bought a perk with your contribution, expect your order to arrive in the new few weeks. Thank you!

Speaking of album release, a huge thank you to Kevin Kablutsiak from CBC Iqaluit for interviewing us about our EP. Check out this lovely piece from CBC about the upcoming album.

Thanks as well to the wonderful Julie Lalonde for talking about our upcoming album release party this week on her Third Wave radio show on CHUO FM. We always appreciate her support and her feminist news.

We love you, world! See you in Yellowknife!
