As you know, we thought that all this attention from CBC Music’s Searchlight would be a good opportunity to tell the rest of the world about what Cambridge Bay is like…and why you should come visit us here in Nunavut!
Here’s our second
attempt entry for our Searchlight vlog. This time we take you shopping at the Co-op grocery store, tell you a bit about Cambridge Bay, show you a midnight sunset and a polar bear, and finish with an uncomfortably close up close-up (sorry about that!).
I also often blog about Arctic life in Cambridge Bay here.
We love Cambridge Bay SO MUCH that we are happy to make a new announcement: All proceeds from the digital sale of our song “Victoria Island” will go towards supporting local Cambridge Bay initiatives, including the Wellness Centre’s Food Bank, Diamonds in the Ruff (a local dog rescue & welfare group) and other projects to benefit low-income families in need of assistance in town. We released the demo version of Victoria Island last year; now the fancy professionally mixed version is available for your ears (thanks Ben Leggett!)! So check it out here: http://scarybearsoundtrack.bandcamp.com/track/victoria-island
A big thank you to Allison Devereaux from CBC Radio 1’s Trail’s End for interviewing us yesterday and playing our songs! It’s such a thrill to hear ourselves on the radio. Tune in tonight at 7PPM MT to the youth-oriented Feel Real Radio on CKLB to hear us talking about positive influences and true friends as well as our music with the folks of My Voice My Choice.
Thanks for all your support! We hope you keep supporting us (like by clicking here to vote for us)!
